Roger Rundle's career has been a showcase for his varied talents and diversified musical interests. He was musical director of the Bel Canto Opera in New York City from 1970-72 and was on the faculty of the School for Singers in Katonah, New York from 1974-88. His work with singers and his virtuosic technique have made him a sought-after teacher and coach, and he has received wide critical acclaim as an accompanist.
Mr. Rundle made his New York recital debut in Carnegie Recital Hall in 1977, and he has returned for numerous subsequent recitals at that hall and also Tully Hall at Lincoln Center. He produced his own show, The Marriage of Music and Drama, which toured the United States. A multi-talented individual, he is also an excellent chamber musician and a composer whose works have been performed in New York's major concert halls. He has toured extensively throughout the United States and Canada under the auspices of Community Concerts.
After 20 years working and performing out of New York he moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he keeps an active performing and teaching schedule. He has produced three solo CDs and numerous CDs as collaborating artist. He teaches a 12-hour class on Performance Techniques. Between the years of 1986-2001 he directed a classical music program for Cunard Cruise Line which offered evenings of opera, chamber music, and piano concerts.
